- Parents can control their child's privacy settings through their Parent Dashboard.
Animal Jam offers optional in-game purchases that cost real money. This functionality can be disabled by adjusting device settings.
Animal Jam also offers recurring membership subscription options. There's still lots of free fun to be had in the game, but Animal Jam Members get exclusive access to cool perks, as well as Member status in the AJ Classic web game!

This game allows you to decorate your space any which way you want, which is what I was originally looking for in a game. You can take on various animal forms and customize them, too! Other activities include digging for fossils, spotting nocturnal animals, socializing, buying, trading, and selling items, exploring different areas, minigames, videos, and you can even make your own music and den items! However, there are a lot of bugs; but we can report bugs to tech, and they get fixed.

hey, so I love animal jam but I am a little frustrated with the new bundle situation, i worked really really hard to get all those sapphires for it, only to find out that the 2 things I was most exited about (the my shops) are member only items, and my family just can't afford membership, which is quite frustrating, and It would have been nice to have a few more Christmas den items, like a jammaliday tree not just the phantom one. I suppose what I'm trying to say is that none of the items in the bundle should be member only and that there should be a few more items. but over all I do love animal jam, its a great way to take my mind of the struggles of the real world, and a great way to sit back and relax at the end of the day.

The game is very restrictive. Anything that requires sapphires is overly expensive and basically gives no chance to players without spending money. Very disappointed with where this game went, it used to be pure social fun but it seems like it too has fallen under the allure of microtransactions. There's even membership exclusive items now, this game has fallen so far from it's glory days, it's almost ridiculous to see what how it's changed. The amount of things that force membership is insane.
