The Walking Dead: Aftermath

I was enjoying this game. I don't like to spend money on mobile games, but I liked it enough that I paid for ad free without realizing it only lasts for a month. 13 dollars a month for ad free in a game that basically becomes impossible to play without rewards that require ads? That's insane. I hope the $13 was worth it as I uninstalled as soon as I realized I'd have to repeatedly pay to avoid ads.

Not really a game, but an ad-based revenue generator for the devs, as it absolutely hates when you play it: scarce energy and rewards, micro-transaction dialogs every time you open the app, and not much to do on it. The core gameplay is not bad, but it's poorly balanced and there's no reason to use old heros at all. Got a chance to draw a new hero? Pity, because it's another useless token for another useless dude you can only put on your useless micro-farm. Roadblocks are everywhere. I give up.

Latest update ruined the game. while it was challenging before, they ramped up the difficulty level to impossible and now I can't complete a single mission or lumber run. the new lumber run format is ridiculous: you have to be able to somehow collect 3 groups of lumber while being swarmed by progressively more and tougher zombies. and you have 2 minutes. You get two extra skills, but cant progress, and if you only collect one or two of three piles of lumber, you fail! Ridiculous!
