Changing my review because the game has become increasingly frustrating. Understandably, the "story" mode gets more difficult as time goes on, but my main issue is the multiplayer aspects. At the start, it was easy enough to get into the top rankings of the daily Boss Challenge, but now I'm in leaderboards with people 70 challenge levels ahead of me! It's BRUTALLY unfair. Tatari designs and the fishing event are honestly the only highlights I have. Everything else feels so shallow.

It's a fun way to kill time, but it becomes apparent pretty immediately, especially after about lvl 100 (which you reach quickly) that it's a pay-to-progress game. You CAN play free, but you'll be highly limited and will miss out on lots of rewards that you literally need to advance. The cost to evolve critters gets exponentially higher, and there's just seemingly no way to keep up. Also, the pop ups everytime you log in are a bit annoying.

Editing my review after a couple days of playing. While the progress slows down significantly around level 100, the game still gives you a lot of options to get free pinballs and I could progress significantly even without paying in the last two days. You do very much still get that feeling of "how I am ever going to complete this game without spending money" but there's still a lot you can do. Good game, very addictive and great to pass some time at work or in transit.
