About this game

ENYO is a tactical roguelike about hook & shield combat.

Grab your hook & shield and descent as Enyo, the greek goddess of war, into an ever changing labyrinth to recover 3 legendary artifacts.

ENYO's gameplay is based on the idea of indirect combat. Enemies can only be defeated by pushing or pulling them into burning lava pits or deadly spiked walls.

While staying accessible through the limited amount of actions a player can take, the core of ENYO are highly tactical turn based battles. To enter the highscore leaderboards for each of the 3 game modes you are tasked to master your weapons and create powerful chain combos through clever maneuvers.

I'm giving three because of the game aesthetic, but I don't get why some controls and mechanisms are not explained in the tutorial. For example, if I get locked on a corner with enemies, they just take extra turns to attack, but the game says its a single round cycle. I just get totally frustrated by it. It's a good game, but you should specify the rules as it is. I have played Card Thief from the publisher, and I loved it, and I had an expectation turned out to be disappointed.

Id give 4.5 if i could. Only thing i dont like is that some mechanics aren't explained too well, like some situations of stuns, losing your shield, attacks some enemies are immune to, what objects will block but can be shot over, maybe more. But of course you will learn these things as you play. Other than that small aspect, great game, one of the best in its category, up there with hoplite.

I must warn you that this is not the game you are looking for if you wish to play it. The real game costs about 5$, meaning this is just the demo really. I think it is a really good game and enjoyed playing it with it's simple combat yet very well thought out strategy, but in order to play more you must pay, which they should have come forward and said from the get go. Liked my time playing but ended with a bad last impression. Possitive side though, no ads!
