Acerca do autor

Sir Moses Finley was a noted classics scholar at Cambridge University in England and author of numerous books, including The World of Odysseus. One admiring reviewer of a collection of Finley essays on Greece and Rome wrote they reflected “an elegant kind of scholarly journalism.” An American by birth, Finley left the United States after a 1952 Senate subcommittee accused him of being a Communist. He became a British citizen in 1962 and was knighted in 1979.
